What is a Fanfare? Street Music Tradition from France
Forget about marching bands and rifle associations! While fanfares in Germany are often associated with drill and uniforms, a vibrant street music tradition has developed in France. There, fanfares play modern pop and rock songs with brass instruments, turning streets into dance floors. These “French versions of brass bands” bring the energy to life – dancing, celebrating, and having fun. Fanfare Gertrude brings this same joy to Germany, creating a special musical atmosphere at neighborhood festivals and on the streets.
