MORE ABOUT US:

Fanfare Gertrude is a colorful, wild group consisting of around 25 musicians of different levels. Our variety of instruments includes flute, clarinet, alto/tenor/bari saxophone, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba, sousaphone and percussion. We primarily interpret pop and rock songs in our very own Gertrude brass music style. You can watch a few of our videos here.

We rehearse every Monday evening from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m in Berlin-Tiergarten. We mainly speak German, but also French and English.

Our performances usually take place on weekends in and around Berlin: on the street, in clubs, at parties or neighborhood festivals. Occasionally we also go on band tours in Germany and in other countries such as France. Gertrude is our freetime hobby and not a commercial project.

At Fanfare Gertrude everyone can contribute their individual talent and support the band in various areas. This includes not only making music, but also arranging music pieces, organizing performances and creatively designing costumes.
