Here we explain how your personal data is collected and used when you visit our website.

1. Logfiles & Statistics

The website is hosted by Hetzner:

What data is stored in the logfiles?

Logfiles store, among other things, the IP address, the browser used, the time and date, and the system used by a visitor to the website. At Hetzner, only anonymized IP addresses of website visitors are stored. On the web server level, this is achieved by storing an IP address <123.123.123.XXX> instead of the actual IP address of the visitor in the log file, where XXX is a random value between 1 and 254. It is no longer possible to establish a personal reference.

How are the logfile data used?

The logfiles are analyzed using the AWStats and Report Magic statistical programs. Both programs run on our own server/web account at Hetzner. The statistics are generated using already anonymized data. Personal identification is not possible.

The following data is evaluated:

  • The browser type and version used (if transmitted by the user)
  • The operating system
  • Date and time of the server request
  • The number of visits
  • The duration of the visit on the website
  • The previously visited website (if transmitted by the user)
  • The IP address of the users is anonymized before being stored.

For what purpose are the data stored?

The data is used to ensure the error-free provision of the website.

How long will the data be stored?

The data will be stored for as long as necessary to provide the services.

2. Contact via Email

When contacting us via email at fanfaregertrude@gmail.com, your data, as well as the content of the message, will be transmitted to Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland).

What are the data used for?

Fanfare Gertrude uses your data solely to respond to your inquiry.

How long and where will the data be stored?

Google has data centers worldwide. We cannot provide information about the storage period.

3. Newsletter Delivery

For newsletter delivery, we use the tool “Brevo” (SENDINBLUE — 106 boulevard Haussmann, 75008 Paris, France). Your data (email address) for newsletter delivery will be stored with this provider. Please read Brevo’s privacy policy here: https://www.brevo.com/de/legal/privacypolicy/

The data will only be used for newsletter delivery and will not be shared with third parties.

You will only receive the newsletter if you have explicitly subscribed and consented to it (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR).

Your data will be stored as long as you use the newsletter service. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time. Your data will be deleted after unsubscribing.

4. Social Media Channels and YouTube

Fanfare Gertrude informs that when visiting their social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube), personal data will be transmitted to the respective social networks. These services process personal data according to their business models, and the processing may also take place outside the member states of the European Union.

Fanfare Gertrude has no influence on the data processing carried out by these companies (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland; Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland).

5. Photo and video recordings at events

Photos and videos may be taken at Fanfare Gertrude events. We use these recordings to document our events, for public relations work and to report on our activities.

The recordings may be published on our website, on social media channels and in other communication materials. This includes, for example, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Mastodon and Bluesky.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our interest is to make our events visible and to report on our work. If consent is required for individual recordings, we will obtain it separately.

If photos or videos are published on social media, they may be shared, saved or further distributed there. Some providers also process data outside the European Union. We do not have full control over how these platforms use the published content. For this reason, we may not always be able to fully delete published or shared copies later.

If you do not want to be photographed or filmed, please let us know at the event. You can speak directly to the person taking photos or filming.

You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. You can also ask us to delete recordings of you or to stop using them. We will delete the recordings where this is possible for us. To do so, please contact us at kontakt@fanfaregertrude.de.

We store photos and videos for as long as we need them for documentation, public relations or archive purposes. Published recordings may generally remain online for as long as our website, our social media channels or the relevant platforms exist, or until we delete them.

5. Your Rights and Contact

You have the following rights regarding your personal data concerning you, with respect to the data controller:

  • Right to information, Art. 15 GDPR
  • Right to rectification, Art. 16 GDPR
  • Right to erasure, Art. 17 GDPR
  • Right to restriction of processing, Art. 18 GDPR
  • Right to object to the collection, processing, and/or use, Art. 21 GDPR
  • Right to data portability, Art. 20 GDPR

If the processing of personal data is based on your consent (Article 6 (1) lit. a GDPR), you can revoke it at any time for the respective purpose. The lawfulness of the processing based on your consent prior to its revocation remains unaffected.
